Dickinson State University (DSU) is excited to announce its participation in National Nurses Week from May 6th to May 12th, honoring the invaluable contributions of nurses to our healthcare system. As part of the celebration, DSU invites the community to an Open House event on May 6th, from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM MT, at Klinefelter Hall.
Nurses play a vital role in healthcare, serving as compassionate caregivers, advocates, and leaders in promoting wellness and delivering quality care to individuals and communities. National Nurses Week, observed annually, provides an opportunity to recognize and express gratitude for the dedication and expertise of nurses across the nation.
Dickinson State University is committed to supporting the nursing profession and enhancing healthcare outcomes in the community. As part of DSU’s mission to serve the region, the University offers healthcare programming, including nursing education, to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to excel in this critical field.
To celebrate National Nurses Week, an Open House event will be held featuring tours of the Glenice and Dale Hansen Nursing Simulation Lab, a state-of-the-art facility that provides students with hands-on learning experiences in a simulated clinical environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge technology and innovative teaching methods that prepare our nursing graduates for success in their careers.
The Open House tours will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM MT, offering participants an inside look at the simulation lab's capabilities and resources. Following the tours, a complimentary lunch will be provided at 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM MT in room 415 of Klinefelter Hall, offering attendees the chance to network and engage in meaningful discussions about the role of nursing in healthcare.
