Art gallery opens today

Dickinson State University (DSU) art gallery presents “Literacy Without Borders” by Ms. Pam Rittig.  Rettig’s work is a series of photographs with text. 

Rettig, a teacher trainer and consultant has worked on the International Project for the North Dakota Reading Association and established the first traveling library in Nigeria.  Photographs featured in the current gallery are based on her international travel while working as a trainer for Unesco inservices in Tanzania. 

The art gallery is part of the celebration of Women’s history month and the Women’s Voices series of events at DSU.  The DSU Art Gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday-Friday. Support for the gallery comes from Dickinson State University, private donations and the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which is funded by the state of North Dakota and the National Endowment for the Arts.
