DSU Graduate is a Washington D.C. Law Clerk

DICKINSON, ND- Jake Berdine, class of 2009, has is currently serving as a law clerk at The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in Washington, D.C.

Berdine graduated from DSU with a bachelor’s degree in history and pre-law. He was a member of the Phi Theta Cappa and a NAIA collegiate baseball athlete.

While a student at DSU, Berdine completed internships with Mackoff-Kellogg Law Firm and with Senator Byron Dorgan where he researched case law and intellectual property law.

After graduating from DSU, Berdine served as an intellectual property intern for Apple,Co., where he conducted legal research and worked on various projects pertaining to patent and licensing issues for Apple’s IP and licensing team.

Berdine is currently attending George Washington University Law School where he is studying to be a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with a focus in intellectual property law. He is expected to graduate in 2015.
