NDSU graduate student to present on U.S. wars fought in the Dakotas
Mr. Aaron Barth, a doctoral candidate in the history program at North Dakota State University, will be in Dickinson on Friday, Mar. 7, to present his research on the wars that were fought in the Dakotas. The presentation will begin at 4 p.m.
“Mr. Barth's research is very insightful, and should be of great interest to those of us living in close proximity to the sites associated with these conflicts,” Dr. Frank Varney, assistant professor of history at Dickinson State University. “This is especially relevant given the current political climate which finds some of these sites threatened by oil development.”
The presentation will be held in Beck auditorium in Kleinfelter Hall, and is sponsored by the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program. The event is open to the public and is free of charge.
