Family Fun Day supports local youth June 28 at Jaycee Park
DICKINSON – Organizers are planning the 17th annual Family Fun Day offering an outdoor climbing wall and other outdoor activities, music, and food from noon to 5 p.m. on June 28 at Jaycee Park, 5th Ave SE & E Broadway in Dickinson
The event which introduces a new volcano climbing wall, also features a giant playground for kids of all ages, including inflatable bouncers, obstacle courses, giant slide, jouster, miniature golf, slam dunk, football toss, face painting, wash off tattoos, and barrel train rides. Attendees may purchase wristbands in advance for $10 at the Best Friends Mentoring office at 135 W. Villard in Dickinson or online at www.bestfriendsnd.org. Wristbands are $12 at the park. Tickets for the volcano climbing wall are sold separately for $2.
Family Fun Day also features a variety of food vendors that will serve hot dogs, brats, chips, taco-in-a-bag, ice cream and a variety of drinks.
Support the Best Friends Mentoring by enjoying the afternoon in the park. This is the Best Friends Mentoring’s 17th year of providing positive and fun activities for families in southwest North Dakota. The event also aims to raise awareness of and funding for the Best Friends’ mentoring services.
The Best Friend Program, a mentoring services the provides positive, caring adult role models giving mentoring to more than 100 at risk youth in the eight-county region of southwest North Dakota in 2013. Organizational volunteers in partnership with other sponsors run the annual Family Fun Day for families during Roughrider Days Fair & Expo. Event proceeds help support Best Friends.
