The Dickinson State Art program provides instruction which leads to elementary or secondary teaching certification in art and professional training which leads to graduate school in art, arts management or art business careers. In addition, the program serves the general education needs of the University with fundamentals courses and promotes the understanding and enjoyment of art on campus, in the community, and in the region.

A Bachelor of Science in Education in Art Education degree requires course work including General Education, the major, a minor, professional education, and electives to equal a minimum of 128 semester hours.
A Bachelor of Science in Art Entrepreneurship requires course work including General Education, the major, a minor in Entrepreneurship for non-business students, and electives to equal a minimum of 128 semester hours.
A Bachelor of Arts degree in Art requires course work including General Education, 16 credits of foreign language, the major, a minor, and electives to equal a minimum of 128 semester hours.
