Dr. Richard McCallum, President of Dickinson State University, announced on Monday that Dr. Rich Brauhn will begin working as the Director of Special Projects and Reports. In this new role, Dr. Brauhn, who currently is the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, will report directly to the president and provide leadership for a variety of initiatives and events. He also will teach one history class each semester as a tenured professor of history.
Dr. Jon Brudvig, currently the Director of the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program, will begin serving as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Brudvig also will continue to oversee the TRHLP.
This fall, when DSU faculty members return to campus, the university will organize and launch two national searches: one for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs and one for the position of Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
"It is our goal to have both of these positions successfully filled by July 1, 2011," said McCallum. "I look forward to working with both Dr. Brauhn and Dr. Brudvig as they assume their new responsibilities at Dickinson State.”
