B.S. in Environmental Science
Dickinson State University is the only state college in North Dakota that offers a bachelors level degree program in Environmental Science. Environmental science studies the interactions between the physical, chemical, and biological components of the environment. The DSU Environmental Science program provides students with a broad background including biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, and other supporting areas to prepare graduates to work in the environmental field or continue on to graduate school. Environmental Science jobs pay well, and according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics “The number of jobs for environmental scientists is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations through 2018”. So if you are curious about science and nature, enjoy working with people, would like a career in a highly promising field, and are interested in working to study and preserve the environment by developing a sustainable future for the Earth, come study with us in the Dickinson State Environmental Science program.
