Note: We will increment your bid amount by $10, up to your maximum bid amount if necessary. All bids must be received by December 12th at 5:00 p.m. to be accepted.
Silent Auction Bidding Procedure
Silent auction items may be bid upon from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Each couple or individual will receive a bidding number to be used during the silent auction. To place a bid, you must write your bidding number and the amount of your bid on the corresponding form. To increase a bid, please use increments of at least $10. You may bid on items as often as you wish. The silent auction will close at 7:00 p.m. Successful bidders of the silent auction will be posted prior to the vocal auction. Payment procedures and pick-up arrangements are the same for the silent auction as for the vocal auction.
Auction Rules
- A receipt listing name and address will be completed for the purchaser. Payment may be made at the cashier's desk at the close of the vocal auction by cash, check, or any major credit card. Payment is also negotiable for a one month period.
- All trips, items, and services must be used within the designated dates and must be used within one year of the auction. All arrangements are to be made between Dickinson State and buyer within one month of the auction, unless otherwise specified. If not used in the period of one year, donors are no longer obligated to provide the services, trips, etc.
- All items sold as is and all sales are final. There will be no refund or exchange on items.
- Values listed in this booklet are appraisals and donor-stated values, and as such are not warranted for tax purposes or for general value.
- Buyers may take a charitable deduction for the difference between the bid price and the fair market value. This does not apply to original artwork.
- All guarantees are according to manufacturer's warranty.
- Items available at the auction may be picked up after the bidding has been completed.
- If special arrangements are made with the Dickinson State University Office of Alumni and Foundation, items acquired at the auction can be shipped at the buyer's expense.
- All items must be removed from the facility at the conclusion of this evening’s event.
- The vocal auction will begin around 10:30 p.m.
