Arts Roundup will be held on the Dickinson State University campus Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30. In its ninth year of providing a university and community celebration of the arts in southwestern North Dakota, the event will offer a variety of unique activities and events that have been tailored to engage a diverse crowd. As in past years, Arts Roundup will be held in conjunction with the Dickinson Roughrider Days Fair and Expo.
On Friday, Arts Roundup opens at 3 p.m. with artisan and food vendor booths and the Quilters’ Roundup quilt show at the Student Center, the Rider Gallery at the Alumni and Foundation House, children’s activities, glass blowing demonstrations and live entertainment on King Pavilion, including a performance from Mylo the Silo Hatzenbuhler.
At 6 p.m., “Cars on Campus,” the classic car show, will be held on Campus Drive and Eighth Avenue West from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The car show is free and open to all classic and unique cars.
Saturday’s events begin at 11 a.m. featuring booths, the quilt show and the art exhibitions. Fun-filled activities will be provided for children throughout the day. Various live entertainment is scheduled, featuring Kathy Bender from Dickinson. |
