Keeping in mind the needs of the Dickinson community and the southwest region of North Dakota, the $16 million Badlands Activities Center was designed to accommodate three home teams, Dickinson State University, Dickinson High School and Trinity High School, and to host a variety of community events. The BAC offers 5,500 square feet of multipurpose space and outdoor space for a variety of DSU and community events.

A Championship Athlete Experience
The Badlands Activities Center’s new field features the latest in artificial turf to provide student-athletes with the best and safest field design, allowing the BAC to host more regional sporting events throughout the year. A new, state-of-the-art, eight-lane track with Olympic standard lanes is the hallmark of the new Huffman Track, boasting the latest in electronic information and scoring.The Badlands Activities Center also features an on-site locker room facility located below the stadium that includes locker rooms for the three home teams. Additionally, the facility includes a training room and coach's office to allow the best experience possible for our student-athletes.

A Championship Fan Experience
The Badlands Activities Center creates an exhilarating experience for students, families and spectators from every corner of the state and across the nation. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available to meet the needs of spectators, including 14 club suites, club fixed seating, and general admission bench seating. The facility also boasts elevator service, premium concessions, patio areas and a large enclosed concourse equipped with TV’s to enhance the fan experience and to ensure fans catch all of the exciting action.

A Championship Community Experience
A featured attraction of the Badlands Activities Center is the multi-purpose space that allows for year-round usage, expanded and enhanced food service options, space for community and other special events, and numerous opportunities to promote the community and the region.Uses for the multi-purpose areas include car shows, family reunions, meetings, exhibitions, trade shows, weddings and other special events. In addition to football, track and field, and other athletic events, the BAC offers outdoor space for concerts, marching band competitions, vehicle sales, expanded programming for the Dickinson Public and Catholic School, and Dickinson Parks and Recreation. The new Huffman Track is an ideal walking and running surface for young and old alike and is open to the public daily.
