Community Ensembles
Community Ensembles consists of the Community Band and the Choral Union. Both ensembles are open to the public.
Community Band
The Community Band is an all-volunteer community group of amateur, semi-professional, and retired musicians of all ages in the Dickinson area. The band presents several concerts a year, playing a variety of music. The concerts are free and open to the public.
Interested musicians are encouraged to join the Community Band.
 Choral Union
Choral Union is open to all students and members of the community. Choral Union maintains a more than fifty-year tradition of performing a portion of Handel’s oratorio, Messiah, in the fall semester. Other major choral works will also be studied. Choral Union meets Mondays from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. and is conducted by Dr. Bruce Southard, Director of Choral Activities at DSU.
