of Agriculture and Technical Studies
Students trained for agricultural and technical
careers will receive the skills essential to succeed in agri-business,
agriculture production, and highway transportation. Our unique
agriculture program incorporates an agreement between Dickinson
State and North Dakota State University which provides students
easy access to educators with valuable agriculture experience
in research, business, and extension work. Hands-on experience
through internships and field trips gives students a head start
in a competitive job market.

of Health and Physical Education
Prepare yourself for a career in today's health-conscious society.
You will enhance your background through job-related activities
at Dickinson State and schools in surrounding communities.
Upon completion of the physical education major, you can pursue
a fulfilling career as a physical education teacher or at jobs
in coaching, athletic training, or recreation programming.
Department
of Teacher Education
Dickinson State continues its tradition of preparing
highly successful teachers. The department meets the high standards required
by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
and the Education Standards and Practices Board. You can select
from a major in elementary education or from a variety of secondary education
program fields. Endorsement programs are available in kindergarten and
reading, as well as in minor fields of study.
Department
of Nursing
Dickinson State
is home of one of the top nursing programs in the region. The Associate of
Applied Science in Practical Nursing (AASPN) degree is a two-year program
preparing you for the licensing examination for practical nursing. Completion of
the AASPN degree allows you to obtain employment and/or continue your education
through the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion program. Recognized
for their outstanding quality, the AASPN and BSN programs are both accredited by
the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLCAC) and approved by
the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Department
of Business and Management
Do you want to be a business leader of tomorrow? You can complete a bachelor's
degree in accounting, business education, or business administration with
concentrations in management, agri-business, accounting, banking and finance,
computer science, or management information systems. In addition, you
may add to your resume the practical experience of an internship. This
hands-on program provides valuable insight into the real business world
and helps you with your job search following graduation.
