Parking for faculty/staff on campus
- Currently there has been no proven need for additional parking designated for faculty and staff. The west Scott/Weinbergen park lot has consisted of many open parking spaces at any time during the working day.

Moments of Excellence Selection Committee
- Dr. McCallum indicated that members on the nominating committee serve anywhere from 1-3 years. A confidentiality agreement will be created that the committee members will be required to sign. 10-21-10 SS Minutes. MOE awards and selection process was designed after the Foundation awards process. Any changes would need to go to Cabinet and be approved by them since it is not a Staff Senate program. 9-16-10 SS Minutes. Smoking Enforcement Procedure
- The responsibility for the enforcement and communication of this policy rests with all members of the university community. Visitors, contractors, and other individuals on campus who are in violation of the policy should be reminded of the policy and asked to comply by discarding the tobacco product. All staff, faculty, and students violating the policy should be reminded of the policy and asked to comply by discarding the tobacco product in a responsible manner. Hiring Processes
- The procedure that was approved as of May 27, will be placed on the HR website, Gail Ebeltoft noted the procedure was followed in regards to the most recent staff changes on campus. 11-17-11 SS Minutes

Security on campus
- At a recent legislative meeting WSC was provided with additional security. DSU tried to become part of this and was denied. With the increased population in Dickinson and Minot – there is a possibility that both campuses will be considered for additional security. Jeans Day
- The purpose is to fund the Staff Senate general fund, the Staff Senate Scholarship fund and charitable organizations by dressing casually and wearing jeans. Employees are encouraged, but not required to wear Dickinson State University colors or Blue Hawk gear. A designated collector will collect the donation money, generally before noon.

Accommodations for breast feeding on campus
- HR Director Gail Ebeltoft stated that the 5-6 times that this request has been brought up in the last 14 years accommodations have been provided, at this time no stationary place per building or even on campus has been considered due to feasibility.
