Checklist for Admission
To be considered for admission, international students must submit all of the following documents.

DSU Application for Admission/Global Awareness Tuition Waiver Form. Click here to apply online.
- Copy of Passport

Transcripts from all secondary schools, colleges, and universities previously attended
- All transcripts must be originals
or stamped and sealed certified copies.
- To receive university transfer credits from an American institution, official transcripts must be sent to Dickinson State University directly by the college or university
- To receive university transfer credits from a foreign institution, students must complete a “Detailed Evaluation of Coursework” through Foreign Credentials Service of America. There is a $110.00 US charge for this evaluation. Information about the service can be found at www.fcsa.biz
- ACT Scores
- Only Canadian applicants are required to submit these scores.
- Our Institutional Code for submitting ACT scores is 3210
- Official TOEFL/IELTS Score or its equivalent
- Students must secure a score of 71 or higher on the internet based test, 5.5 or higher on the IELTS.
- Our Institutional Code for submitting TOEFL is 6477
- Campus Safety and Security Questionnaire

Upon admission and prior to issuance of a form I-20 Certificate of Eligibility, students must submit the following documents:
- Declaration of Finances
- Students are required to document their sources of funding and demonstrate that they have a sponsor who can provide adequate financial support for every year of studies in the United States, at Dickinson State University.

Official Bank Statement demonstrating sufficient funds for at least one full year of studies
- All bank statements submitted must be originals.Statements must be valid within
6 months of the I-20 issue date.
- Students are required to demonstrate on the bank statement that they have sufficient funds for at least one full year of studies. See the appropriate Declaration of Finances form for this information.

Demonstrated Freedom from Tuberculosis
- All international students other than Canadians who have been in the US for less than five years must have a TB test upon entering the US.
before they will be eligible to attend classes.

Other Information
- All documents will be sent by US Airmail and may take 4-6 weeks for delivery. If you would like your documents sent to you by FedEx, you will need to contact your local FedEx office to open an account. (DHL does not service this region.) DSU will not accept payments for documents sent by courier services.
