Multicultural Student Support

The Center for Multicultural Affairs strives to provide culturally competent student services designed to support and enhance the academic and personal success of students from historically underrepresented populations, including African-American students, Latino-American, Asian-American, and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.  The Center serves as a vital link between students and the University, working to develop sensitivity to, awareness of, and appreciation for diversity.  Our aim is to promote increased interaction and cross-cultural understanding throughout the DSU community.  Services available to students include:  academic advising, financial aid counseling, recruitment, retention and transition support.
