Dickinson State football players Shawn Alder, Meyer Bohn, Hazer Burghduff, Wyatt Mirich, Ryan Payne, and Matthew Perdue have been named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
Alder had one interception for the Blue Hawks this season in seven games. He is a psychology major from Colstrip, Mont.
Bohn is a junior environmental science major from Bismarck, N.D.
Burghduff is a senior history and business double major from Ludlow, S.D.
Mirich had 10 catches for 116 yards, with one touchdown reception, in six games this season. He is a junior biology major with a minor in leadership. Mirich is from Big Horn, Wyo.
Payne is a senior math education and exercise science double major, with a minor in coaching, from Livingston, Mont.
Perdue played in five games and recorded 10 tackles for the Blue Hawks this season. Off the field, Perdue is a senior history education major. He is from Ray, N.D.
A total of 259 student-athletes received the honor.
