The Repertory Dance Theatre of Salt Lake City will be in residency Oct. 24 -26 at Dickinson State University. The residency will conclude with a special joint performance by the Repertory Dance Theatre and Dickinson State University Form and Fusion Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Dorothy Stickney Auditorium, May Hall.
The Repertory Dance Theatre will be working with students from DSU, the Academy of Dance and Roosevelt Elementary School. The Repertory Dance Theatre also will be working with residents of Able, Inc.
Utah’s Repertory Dance Theatre was founded in 1966 as a fully-professional modern dance company through a cooperative effort involving the Salt Lake City community, the University of Utah and a major grant from the Rockefeller Foundation. This partnership was created to establish a company which would keep alive that unique, artistic achievement which is American modern dance.
RDT is dedicated to the creation, performance, perpetuation and appreciation of modern dance. This residency was made possible through grants from North Dakota Council on the Arts and Arts Midwest of Minneapolis.
Tickets for the Saturday performance are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the DSU Information Center in the DSU Student Center or by calling 701-483-2090.
