Family Science Days at DSU begin Sept. 21

The Department of Natural Science at Dickinson State University will host a series of “Family Science Days” at the DSU Student Center, beginning Saturday, Sept. 21, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Family Science Days’ featured attraction is the DSU Discovery Dome. The dome is a portable full-dome theater which surrounds students with immersive, engaging and realistic sounds and visual images. Developed by the Houston Museum of Natural Science and Rice University, this state of the art visual learning experience can address many different fields of science for any grade level. Families and students also will be able to participate in hands-on science activities.
Upcoming Family Science Days and planetarium shows available include:
• Saturday, Sept. 21 - “Earth’s Wild Ride”
• Saturday, Oct. 19 - “The Body Code”
• Saturday, Nov. 9 - “Dinosaur Prophecy”
• Saturday, Dec. 14 - “Star of Bethlehem”
