Arthur Nunez, senior at Dickinson State University and Business Advisor Intern for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Strom Center, has successfully completed the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional examination. This certification is recognized nationally and confirms knowledge of global commerce and demonstrates understanding of global business, trade, supply chain management and trade finance.

“I see a lot of great small businesses in Dickinson and in this region in general. The oilfield gets all the attention but what is really making our region a better place to live are all the small businesses with their great products and great services,” said Nunez. “Earning my CGBP certification allows me to take what I have learned at DSU, The Strom Center, and the SBDC and reach out to my clients in a new way. I try to advise my clients in such a manner that they are comfortable and aware of what their business needs to survive. Ultimately it comes down to generating enough sales.”

“Helping regional business access global markets will undoubtedly strengthen their ability to generate the revenues,” said RayAnn Kilen, regional director of the Small Business Development Center. “With this certification, Arthur in his work at the Strom Center and SBDC, will better serve our region in this global economy.”

Nunez works with regional businesses through Dickinson State University’s Strom Center. Regional businesses interested in exploring global business can reach Nunez at 701-483-2756.
