Strom Center offers lunch and learn on cloud productivity

The Strom Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Dickinson State University will host “Cloud Productivity Tools,” a lunch and learn presented by Carissa Swenson of Techtecs. The event takes place Monday, July 29 from noon-1:15 p.m. at the Strom Center, located at 1679 6th Ave. West.

The presentation will focus on how to explore the variety of free tools offered by Google, including Google Drive, Google Calendar and Google Maps. Other topics covered include collaborating using Dropbox, Skype and Google Drive; experimenting with a variety of free multimedia tools such as SlideRocket, Animoto & VoiceThread; and learning about the variety of ways the cloud can help individuals professionally and personally.

Cost is $25 per person. Door prize includes a copy of the 2013 Microsoft Office Professional software suite. Visit www.stromcenter.com to register by Monday, July 22.
