What's Happening on Campus
Your college years will be filled with special memories and friendships that last a lifetime. At Dickinson State there are approximately 50 different organizations and campus activities that will help you find your niche.

Choose from areas such as intramural sports, band, chorus, drama, forensics, art, student government, honor society, academic clubs, cheerleading, and dance, to name just a few.

Weekdays and weekends are jam-packed with scheduled activities such as dances, movies, concerts, entertainers, athletic competitions, and much more.

Intramural sports provide hours of recreational competition in flag football, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, golf, darts, badminton, ping-pong, skating, broom ball, billiards, and horseshoes.

You can study, hang out with friends, or take advantage of the indoor swimming pool, television lounge, and game room in the Student Center.

Career Services
It's only natural that you are concerned about finding that important job. Each year, the Office of Career Services successfully helps students find employment while attending school and in their field of study following graduation. We are here to assist you by providing job listings, co-sponsoring business and educational career fairs, and offering job skills counseling.

In addition, we will teach you how to write an effective resume and how to handle an interview.

Health Services
Student Health Service gives prompt care when you need medical attention. A registered nurse is on duty weekdays and makes referrals to area medical personnel when appropriate.

Educational Enhancement Services
Educational Enhancement Services (EES), a Student Support Services program funded by the United States Departmtne of Education, is designed to increase the academic success and graduation rates of college students through provision of free services to students in the program.

It is the belief of the staff this can be accomplished by creating a sense of belonging, academic competence, and personal responsibility for academic success.

Orientation
Each summer, freshman and transfer students receive special attention during the Student Orientation, Advisement, and Registration Program (SOAR). You will be introduced to college life and the campus. Individual sessions are also held with college deans, faculty members, and orientation leaders. New students register for fall classes and have a wonderful time making new friends.

To assist students in making the transition to college life, freshman seminar classes cover topics like time management, test taking, and library use.

Student Clubs and Organizations
Dickinson State University has a variety of student organizations and activities organized to meet the interests of the students.
