Nursing

You will graduate from our nursing program with the ability to make a significant impact, improving both the health and quality of life of the people in your care. Our goal is to foster your development into a knowledgeable healthcare professional who’s prepared to serve in a continually evolving healthcare environment.

When you complete the program, you will be qualified to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses, as required by the North Dakota State Board of Nursing for licensure as an LPN or RN.

Public notice of upcoming accreditation review visit by the ACEN 

The Dickinson State University Department of Nursing wishes to announce that it will host a face to face site visit for continuing accreditation of its Associate of Applied Science in Practical Nursing (AASPN) Program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 1:00-1:30 p.m. MT on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in Klinefelter Hall Room 415, located on the Dickinson State University campus at 291 Campus Drive, Dickinson, ND.
